Uploading files and folders

Drag-and-drop on web, share-extension on iOS, and what's supported.

On the web

  1. Drag any file or folder onto the dashboard.
  2. Or click Upload at the top right and pick from your device.
  3. Folders preserve their structure — sub-folders come along automatically.

On iOS

Three ways to get files into VirtualDrive on iOS:

  • Files app: tap-and-hold a file in iOS Files, then MoveVirtualDrive.
  • Share sheet: in any app (Photos, Mail, Safari…) tap the share icon → VirtualDrive.
  • Camera Backup: enable it once and new photos & videos sync automatically.

What file types are supported?

All of them. We don't filter by type — upload PDFs, RAW photos, ZIP archives, Logic Pro projects, anything. Previews are available for common formats (images, video, audio, PDF, Word, Excel, plain text, code).

Single-file upload limit is 5 GB on web, 10 GB on iOS via background URLSession (which survives the app being killed mid-upload).
