What freelancers need for client files
A folder per client
Nested folders, colored tags on files and search keep each client's briefs, drafts and finals apart. Star current projects to find them quickly.
Deliveries that expire
Send files with a password and an expiry date, such as 7 or 30 days, so old links stop working. Revoke any link whenever you like.

Upload the final files
Drag the files, or the whole project folder, into the client's folder in the web app.
Create a file link
Choose download access, then set a password and an expiry date.
Share the password separately
Send the link by email and the password by text or chat, so one intercepted message is not enough.
Revoke the link after delivery
When the client confirms they have the files, revoke the link or let it expire.

- Do clients need an account to download my files?
- No. They open the link in any browser. If you set a password, they need that too.
- Can I password-protect a folder link?
- Not yet. Passwords and expiry dates apply to file links; folder links can be view-only or allow downloads. To protect a whole delivery, compress it into one .zip file and share that with a password.
- Can I invoice clients or collect an NDA through VirtualDrive?
- No. VirtualDrive stores and shares files; it does not handle invoices or signatures. A common workaround is to send the link first and share the password only after the client has signed.
- How big can a deliverable be?
- Up to 5 GB per file on Pro and Ultra. Large files upload from the web in parts, and each part is retried on its own if the connection drops.
- Can I cancel at any time?
- Yes. You can cancel a paid plan from your account at any time. Subscriptions bought in the iOS or Android app are cancelled in the App Store or Google Play.
