Create a shared workspace
In the web app, create a workspace for the company or one per department.
Invite your team
Invite people by email and pick a role: admin to manage members, member to add and edit files, viewer for read-only access.
Build the folder structure
Create top-level folders such as Finance, Sales and Projects, and drag existing folders in from your computer. Nested folders upload as they are.
Remove access when someone leaves
Remove the person from the workspace to end their access to its files. Share links belong to the account that created them, so revoke those links first.

- Can I remove a former employee's access?
- Yes. Removing someone from a workspace ends their access to its files. Share links belong to the account that created them, so revoke those links before the person leaves.
- Do you support single sign-on (SSO)?
- You can sign in with Google, Apple, or email and password. SAML single sign-on (for example Okta or Microsoft Entra ID) is not available.
- Is our data encrypted?
- Yes. Files are encrypted at rest with AES-256 by our storage providers and travel over TLS (HTTPS). VirtualDrive is not end-to-end encrypted, and we do not train AI models on your files.
- Can we recover deleted files?
- Deleted files go to Trash and stay there until someone empties it, so they can be restored. VirtualDrive does not keep a version history of edited files.
